AQHA Sorrel Gelding Big Country got his name because he is so big and because he can handle a lot of big country. He has been ridden by women, men, and teenagers. He is level headed, dependable, kind, and quiet. We have used him this fall and winter on our ranch to gather and wean cow/calf pairs, sort and pen bulls, and has been pasture roped a few times. Big Country has seen a lot of rough terrain, brush, water crossings and handles it all with ease and confidence. He has been our go-to horse on our ranch this fall and has never let us down. He has a lot of heart and bottom. He has been in training this fall and will side pass, two track, neck rein, is soft in the face and has a big stop. He also has a pretty extended trot and looks good under english tack. Easy to catch, he will meet you at the gate. Ponies off the side of the pickup, loads and hauls easily. No soundness or health issues and no bad habits. Big Country has a lot of potential as a rope horse and would make a nice barrel prospect also. With his quiet and dependable nature we think he would be a great family/4-H horse also. And of course he is a great trail horse. We are hoping to find a nice home for this super young horse. Thanks for looking! |
